Public Transit Case Study

Reflections

For this project, I had to create an improved digital experience for my local metro system in order to promote the use of public transit in my city.

SunRail is a commuter rail system in the Greater Orlando, Florida area. Most people in Central Florida drive cars. Occasionally, cars need to be taken to the mechanic for maintenance or repair leaving commuters looking for alternative transportation like SunRail. Users go to the train station and either buy their ticket at a kiosk or on SunRail’s website. When a customer needs help, they either wait in line at the station, call, or email SunRail.

Based on my user research, I was able to address the needs of the users and redesign the app in order to inspire users to use the SunRail app. Users clicked through the SunRail prototype and said that it ran well and was intuitive.

This was the first time that I created High-Fidelity Wireframes and Prototyping and a basic Style Guide.
